Marian's confusion

I am becoming very vexed at the mere thought of the actions described on pages 79-80.
This is where Marian is cleaning out Shane's cuts and such and spends a lot of time on him and then spends a little time tending to Joe, and decides that Joe should keep the rip in his shirt as a memory for his fighting.
I really wonder what Joe means when he says, "Do you think I don't know, Marian?"
You guys might think I'm really in to looking for romance and such in these books when I say this but I think that it could be that Marian likes Shane "more than just a friend" and that Joe could be accepting that. Could anyone shed light on the matter? It really is confusing to me.
By the way, the only reason I think such a thing is becuase Marian spent so much time and care in cleansing Shane's wounds (***stephanie***) and because after Joe says does she think he doesn't know Marian practically freaks out and says something to the extent of, "I don't even know myself right now."

THANK YOU!! I finally get it! I thought there might be a little more to Marian and Shane than "just friends". Poor Joe...well, at least Shane left. I don't like wounds. I think Joe should go out of his way to please Marian more. At least he could say she looked pretty in her hat.

Yeah, well, another thing that Joe says that was pretty understanding to Marian was, "I'm man enough to know a better when his trail meets mine." I think that might mean that he is strong enough and attentive enough to know when his wife likes someone (that is not him)that is a better man than him. Although I really don't think that Shane is THAT spectactular, and I think that Joe Starret is very nice to his wife. It was odd to me though, and that is why I am not sure if my assumptions are correct, becuase Joe did not seem to be really upset about the whole thing. Men today would be very angry, I think (although I wouldn't know). And yet ANOTHER thing that confuses me about the matter is that Marian said something to the extent of , "Joe, hold me and don't ever let go", and that could mean that she loves him more than Shane and still wants to be his wife. I know, I'm getting very mushish, but that it just what I think.

Katie, I don't think you're being mushish. You are just being very REAL! Real is good... hugh, do your armpits ever burn? OUCH! It hurts Katie. Make is all better!!!!!

Thank you for pointing out all of your mistakes on my blog...but for the future, I think I am fully able to decifer (?) those types of typoes on me onesies! I just watched this mystery. It was very mysterious and this one lady made me mad. She was murdered though...and only this one guy seemed to really feel bad about it because he loved her. He made me mad too. Maybe I should have a third blog...for movies...

Well I like chatting about all of this fun stuff, but I need to mend other loose ends...including the armipt delimma (not the two m's in the word previous)!

Oh dear me, Stephanie, it is getting partially irritating to my eyes when you spell "dilemma" as "delimma". Pray tell, are you doing this on purpose or is it just out of habit?

And do you know what? I think it would be fabulous if you made a blog about movies and such. We could do it together (like we could both be contributors!!!!). That would be one of the great happinesses in life :o)

I only have 19 more pages left to read of Shane!!!
